Meeting Minutes

Event Description

The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) held a 2-day Stakeholder Meeting for Research on Whole Person Health on October 17 to 18, 2022. Representatives of organizations were invited to attend and voice their research interests in whole person health.

On the first day, Dr. Helene M. Langevin, director of NCCIH, opened the program by summarizing the whole person health concept and explaining some of the most important research challenges, gaps, and opportunities in this area. Her talk was followed by two sets of breakout sessions, one on gaps and opportunities in research and one on what is needed to implement whole person health in real world settings.

The second day featured report outs from the breakout groups and discussion, followed by a period in which representatives of organizations provided 2-minute public comments. The meeting closed with brief presentations by NCCIH leaders on next steps.
